I'm missing a context
Here I see a boy with soldiers, but what happened ? Maybe something happened, and they just take him a way from danger, or something... Or maybe he run away from his parents and almost run over by a car, and they try to take him back to his parents... It's easy to judge a picture, but without knowing the context (and no "Israeli Palestinian" is not the right context to know), you can only imagine what's going on ...
BTW Thy are police, as far as I know, soldiers in Israel ware green, and Police blue ... So it seems inside Israel and not in the west bank/Gaza ...

Are you serious? I know that pictures can be taken out of context, but its not realistic to think that it takes six soldiers to return a lost boy to his parents or get him out of harms way. As for the soldier/police thing, I see at least two people wearing green. Do the regular police in Israel carry M-16s like the ones in blue in the picture? If so, thats kind of messed up.

what's so odd about the police in a country where there is constant violence carrying automatic weapons? it is indeed messed up, but you have to admit israel is sort of messed up.
and the point is, you don't know what happened from that photo. the kid could have been heckling the soldiers while they were doing something, and you don't want to shoot a kid by accident. so whatever.

I'd be willing to bet that after the generations of fighting in that region, neither side in the conflict is free of guilt when it comes to brainwashing their children into continue the conflict. I just saw a picture the other day of rabbi's and schoolchildren writing messages on artillery shells that were meant for bombing the occupied territories, where Palestinian children are no doubt writing messages on the rockets that Hamas uses on Israeli settlements.
Honestly, the only way I can see for peace in that region is if everyone completely disarms, Jerusalem is split in half, Hamas needs to be removed from power as well as Israel's Zionist government. Some foreign power would likely need to be a peace keeping force as well. In my opinion, we can't leave it to the Israelis or Palestinians to solve their own problems, because neither side really wants to. Both sides just want revenge.

The way she's handled does not suggest gentle guidance, she is being detained, maybe she will be arrested. She has no idea what's going to happen and she's scared absolutely senseless.

IDF's presence in Palestine is illegal. It's illegal as per the many UN resolutions that Israel's flagrantly violating.
Any action by Palestinians inside their own territories is legitimate resistance. They have the right to self defense.
The only action I condemn is the suicide bombings inside Israel targeting civilians. While it is true that Israelis are committing genocide against Palestine, the Palestinians should show the world that they are better than their oppressors.
That's how Gandhi fought for freedom in India, MLK for freedom in America and Mandela for freedom in South Africa.

Get real
Firstly, Gahndi and MLK fought for freedom using peaceful means and were successful. If the Palestinian embraced those methods they would have long since had their full autonomy but continue a failed methodology to its failed conclusion.
If Canadians were firing rockets into Ohio and the Canadian government did nothing to stop it, yeah, the US would go up north and kick some Canadian ass. This is the Gaza situation. Israel pulls out and gives back the territory and no peace from the Palestinians....so, there is really no incentive to return any West Bank territory. Israel long ago offered to return all the occupied territories except east Jerusalem (pretty fair offer considering it was holding all the cards), and Arafat rejected it.
Guess what? France acquire territory from Germany during WWI and WWII. The US acquired territory through war from all sorts of places like Spain, UK, and Mexico. Shall we also talk about Russian and China's territorial acquisitions (like Tibet). Strangely, there are no UN resolutions for those. Furthermore, there are no UN resolutions against suicide bombers, rocket launchers, terrorist training, etc. The UN has lost ALL relevance by showing the world that special interests trump reality every day there.
Finally, why is Israel to blame for the Gazan's food supply issues when clearly Egypt is also constraining the southern border? Israel is the bad guy but Egypt gets a free ride...that is fair?

This picture is about 2 years old, and it IS missing the proper context. The AP photographer who took this picture of a young man who'd urinated himself in terror, also took an earlier picture of the same young man. In this classic before/after series of pictures- this same unmistakable young man was caught lobbing rocks at these same Israeli officers, with a rather gleeful smile on his face. He just happened to be caught by them a little later, and the above picture documents that.
This young man wasn't merrily strolling down the street, minding his own business. So... context is everything.
And yes- I've spent the past half hour trying in vain to find those two side-by-side pictures- with most people only happy to show this one "after" picture: Making the police look like the bad guys. *sigh*

The unfortunate aspect of
The unfortunate aspect of war is that inevitably both sides think they are right and invariably innocents are caught in the crossfire. These days international support weighs on the side that has the best propaganda machine and much as people outside the arena love to believe Israel is totally blameless in this war (I used to) they also commit horrible atrocities that are carefully hidden from the world. Why do you think the Israelis are always "accidentally" killing journalists or firing on U.N. troops...could it be they don't want any witnesses?
Anyway the event that changed my mind that Irael was not the snow-white innocent victim much touted by the US in the Palestinain-Israeli conflict was a series of photos taken during the 1st intifada (uprising). That very graphic photo showed a palestinian kid approximately age 9 caught bewteen a gang of stone-throwing Palestinian youths on one side and armored-vehicle supported Israeli troops on the other. The kid was terrified and pressed against the wall trying to evade either projectiles; rocks from one side bullets from the other.
Ultimately the kid was shot by a carefully aimed bullet to the head from an Israeli soldier...the kid was 9 years old! The Israelis claimed it was an accident (like the countless number of accidents since then they seem to have)
Of course when it got out, that bit of news damaged Israel's credibility, which may explain why these days they adopt a policy of accidentally killing journalists!

First, the footage contains no evidence at all that Israeli soldiers shot al-Dura. Neither in the 55 seconds broadcast around the globe nor in the 27 remaining minutes filmed by Abu-Rahma are there any soldiers in view. It is not logistically possible that the Israeli soldiers present that day, barricaded inside a building across the intersection, could have shot the boy and his father, huddled behind a concrete barrel blocking the line of fire. As James Fallows wrote in an investigation of the case for The Atlantic Monthly (June 2003): "Whatever happened to him, he was not shot by the Israeli soldiers..."
A recent column in the French newspaper Le Figaro (January 25, 2005) reiterated this, and emphasized what others have said - that a review of the terrain where the incident occurred incriminates Palestinian, not Israeli, bullets.
Second, the footage does not contain visual evidence that al-Dura died. Though he collapses, the tape ends abruptly with the boy inert; a further frame, omitted by Enderlin from the broadcast, shows al-Dura raising his head and arm. But this is the last image.
To explain the odd, truncated footage, Enderlin repeatedly claimed he omitted the "agony of the child" - his dying - because it was unbearable to witness.
However, when several French journalists prevailed on France 2 to let them view the unreleased 27 minutes, they found no "agony of the child" - no excruciating scenes of a suffering al-Dura.
