Bad taste
I am sorry to say but this in really bad taste. The man may be dead, but he leaves behind a wife and children. You have to think about their feelings too.
Did he ever mourn the children killed in Iraq?
He was the mouthpiece of a ruthless regime that killed millions of innocent civilians, and use torture as a weapon of war. Yes, his wife has lost a husband, and his children have lost a father, but through his actions, countless others have lost their fathers, mothers, brothers, sons and daughters.
Had he mourned their deaths, I would agree with you. But instead of mourning them, he justified the killing of the innocent. He never pulled a trigger, dropped a bomb, or released poisonous gas (yes, US forces uses chemical weapons from time to time) to murder civilians, but he was an integral part of a regime that did.
He was blot on the face of humanity. Cancer was too kind for him.
Good riddance of bad rubbish.
